The research behind CARE for MDD
CARE for MDD was developed with the principles of harnessing the brain’s natural ability to change and adapt.
Exercises are designed to strengthen the connections between parts of the brain involved in cognitive control (thinking) and emotional processing (feeling). The aim of the exercises is to improve control of emotional processing, helping to break the cycle of negative thinking.
The brain exercises have been trialled with patients experiencing major depressive disorder (MDD, also known as depressive disorder or clinical depression) and these studies have indicated a benefit in reducing depressive symptoms.1-3

A study indicates that, changes in symptoms of depressive disorder were also consistent with changes in connections between the cognitive and emotional processing parts of the brain.4
