General Information
CARE for MDD is a digital therapeutic intended for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD, also commonly known as depressive disorder or clinical depression) in adults. It is intended to be used alongside standard of care and supported by a healthcare professional.
The intended patient population is adults, over 18 years of age, with major depressive disorder (MDD, also known as depressive disorder or clinical depression).
CARE for MDD provides treatment composed of three parts: therapeutic lessons; brain exercises; and text messages and in-app notifications.
CARE for MDD comprises an active treatment period involving 6 weeks of alternating therapeutic lessons and brain exercises, followed by a 4-week extension period during which patients will have open access to the therapeutic lessons (10 weeks total).
CARE for MDD is only available if you have an access code from a healthcare professional whose care you are under, which may include therapists or doctors. Ask your healthcare professional any medical questions you have about CARE for MDD or your treatment, and make sure to talk to your healthcare professional before using CARE for MDD.
EFMT stand for Emotional Faces Memory Task. These brain exercises are designed to activate the parts of your brain that are more responsible for emotion recognition and memory. Activating these two parts of the brain at the same time is believed to help strengthen the connection between them. This may help the brain better process emotions and improve symptoms of depression.
